Tubac

Known as a modern haven for artists and craftspersons, Tubac, Arizona,  is nestled  just 45 miles south of Tucson and 20 miles north of Nogales along Interstate 19 (exits 40 & 34).   The village offers visitors over 80 shops, studios and art galleries, as well as the Tubac Center of the Arts.  Tubac is proud of its several exceptional restaurants which offer distinctively local cuisine, as well as Mexican and Italian fare.  Tubac has its own Montessori School, two churches, a new community center and library, and two parks.

Tubac is centrally located for people wanting a variety of outdoor activities.  Residents enjoy backpacking, mountain biking, birding and off-roading on Forest Service maintained roads.   The Anza Trail invites hikers to explore a rich and unique riparian desert habitat.  The trail travels along the Santa Cruz river for about three miles to the Tumacacori National Historic Park.

Green Valley

Green Valley is the region's fastest growing community for active adults. Just seventeen miles north of Barrio de Tubac on the Interstate, Green Valley offers a fully array of services including supermarkets, medical facilities, and a multiplex movie theater.

Nogales

Nogales, the hub of Santa Cruz County, offers a vibrant cultural experience that is centered around cross-border tourism and industry. Visitors to Nogales discover a city that is surprisingly diverse, with much to do on both sides of the border.

Tucson

Less than an hour's drive from Barrio de Tubac, Tucson is home to the University of Arizona, Tucson Symphony, Arizona Opera Company, and the Arizona Theater Company. The Tucson Museum of Art recently reopened its Palice Pavilion, which houses an impressive collection of pre-Columbian and Spanish Colonial art. The Santa Catalina Mountains, Sabino Canyon in Coronado National Forest, Sonoran Desert and Saguaro National Park provide ample outdoor recreational opportunities.
